June 24-26, 2009. Wison held the Cracking Furnace Technology Forum 2009 at Wison Science & Technology Park, with the theme of Energy Saving and Innovation to Win the Future. More than 50 delegates from about 30 companies and enterprises, such as SABIC, TITAN PETCHEM(M) SDN.BHD, Shanghai SECCO Petrochemical, BASF-YPC, SINOPEC and CNPC, attended the forum.
Cracking furnaces are the key units of ethylene plants and they also consume a huge amount of energy. So the ethylene production costs may be significantly brought down through reducing the energy consumption of cracking furnaces. As an EPC contractor with many years of experience in cracking furnace engineering, construction, and technical service, Wison hopes that this forum will become a platform for professionals in the industry to exchange experiences and learn from each other. In this forum, plant owners, key equipment suppliers, and experts from China and other countries gathered and discussed the application of new technologies, methods and materials for cracking furnaces.
In the forum, over ten keynote speeches were presented, including Improvement of GK-VI Cracking Furnace Production Capacity through Optimized Operation, Application of HS-Ⅱ Cracking Furnace in the Ethylene Plant of CNPC Lanzhou Petrochemical, and Application of New Ceramic Fiber Products and Structures in Ethylene Cracking Furnace. In groups focusing on chemical process, equipment, and furnace lining, the forum delegates carried out more detailed discussions on how to improve energy saving capabilities and economic performance of petrochemical enterprises and make them more eco-friendly and contributory to the environmental protection.
This is the third time that Wison hosts such forum for the exchange of cracking furnace technologies. Wison will continue to uphold the philosophy of share, maintain this platform of cracking furnace cooperation built and shared together by Wison, other enterprises in the industry and customers and partners, and Wison will keep improving it to bring more information, achievements, and experiences to all participants.
