(SHANGHAI, 22 December 2015) On December 18, the Revamp and Expansion of Oil Refinery and Newly-built Ethylene Complex Project of CNPC Dushanzi Petrochemical Co. undertaken by Wison Engineering won the Gold Prize for National High-Quality Project 2014-2015.
>Wison Engineering was in charge of general contracting services for three plants at this complex project, including the ethylene cracking furnace, full-density polyethylene plant and styrene butadiene rubber plant for this project. The project started in June 2006 and was handed over on June 15, 2009, with three winter breaks totaling 12 months included in the project duration. Upon the delivery , the company reached all the key targets during the commission, successfully starting up the plants with the first batch of feedstock.
Furthermore, Wison Engineering adopted a matrix management model, made full use of information technologies including development and application of the project management platform, applying material control software MARIAN in the large complex project and the advanced documentation management and resource sharing system etc, so that many technological and project management improvements has been achieved during the project execution. Wison had achieved all the project goals in terms of QHSE, project schedule and cost control.
By delivering this project, Wison Engineering won honors including the Jin Gang Award of Shanghai Construction Engineering Metal Structure, the Gold Prize of China Construction Metal Structure (National Quality Engineering), as well as one of“top 100 classic and quality projects at 60th anniversary of PRC Foundation”recognized by China Construction Industry Association together with other 11 industry associations.
The National High-Quality Project Prize is China’s oldest and highest state-level honor and award. The prize is now a significant standard in the engineering construction industry. In the National High-Quality Project Summary & Commendation Congress 2014-2015, there were in total 225 projects awarded the National High-Quality Project Prize but only 8 of them won the Gold Prize.
