Zou Yu Named An “Advanced Individual in Sino-Saudi Cooperation for Year 2015-2016”

Mr. Zou Yu, Regional President, Middle East, of Wison Engineering, recently won the honor of “Advanced Individual in Sino-Saudi Cooperation for Year 2015-2016” granted by the Association of Chinese Companies in Saudi Arabia (“the Association”). The Association announced its awards of ‘Outstanding Chinese Companies’, ‘Outstanding Chinese Projects’ and ‘Excellent Managers of Chinese Companies’ in Saudi Arabia at the same time.

The Association was set up by the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It aims to publicize the policies in bilateral economic and trade cooperation, to promote bilateral business and trade development, and to strengthen the network and communication between Chinese companies in K.S.A. and Saudi Arabian enterprises.

Mr. Zou Yu has made outstanding contributions to developing Wison’s business in the Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, He also helped to establish a positive brand image for Chinese companies by providing good engineering services, and to safeguard the overall interests of Chinese companies in Saudi Arabia. Thanks to his efforts, a total of 13 Chinese suppliers managed to enter the pre-qualification phase of SABIC. In addition, he facilitated the business visit to SABIC and ARAMCO by the China Chemical Suppliers Committee, providing a broader platform for Chinese companies in their overseas business development.

At the same time, the Association highly recognized Wison Engineering for its social responsibility in Saudi Arabia, “Wison Engineering not only strictly abides by local laws and regulations, but also actively employs local staff to increase the local employment rate. Wison Engineering fully takes its responsibilities for the project owners and the local ecological environment by balancing the company’s business growth, the development of local societies and the protection of local environment.”

The Saudi Branch of Wison Engineering was established in 2008. It has become one of the qualified EPC contractors for SABIC, Aramco, and other Saudi oil and chemical corporations, and has successfully implemented seven EPC projects. With its excellent project management and implementation, HADEED Project, Wison’s first EPC project in Saudi Arabia, won the “SABIC Golden Key Award in 2012”, and in 2013, Yenbo Sewage Benzene Reduction Project of Wison was honored by the Association of Chinese Companies in Saudi Arabia as an “Advanced Project Management Award of Chinese Companies in Saudi Arabia in 2013”.
